The idea of it was simple. Tinker with ideas, massage them, test them to see if they are repeatable, and then sit down with like minded and discuss whether they are real. Unfortunately, human nature is not that way. Humans disagree on almost everything. They bicker and fight and sling mud at each other all the time. If someone’s idea is deemed to be too “crazy”, they are kicked out of the club. It’s like the social chaos of Junior and Senior High School all over again. The effects are just as devastating.
